Good to know
Cropping isn’t possible here: your image is smaller than the required size in one direction, and The File Work doesn’t enlarge images.
The borders stay transparent, like the rest of your image.

What 1080 × 1920 is for
A full-screen vertical shape, 9:16: stories, phone wallpapers and other vertical content.
Fill the space or keep the whole photo?
“Fill the space” uses the whole frame and crops from the centre. “Keep the whole image” shows every pixel and adds space around it, in a colour you choose. Both are previewed with your photo before you decide.
Small photos aren’t enlarged
If your photo is smaller than the target, it keeps the right shape at its own resolution instead of being stretched up. Enlarging adds pixels, not detail.
Questions
Will the image be exactly 1080 × 1920?
Yes, when your photo is big enough. A smaller one keeps the 9:16 shape at its own resolution instead of being enlarged.
Is 1080 × 1920 the same as 9:16?
Yes. 1080 × 1920 px is a 9:16 shape.
How do I fit a horizontal photo?
“Keep the whole image” adds space above and below, in a colour you choose. “Fill the space” crops the sides instead.
Can the background be transparent?
No, this format is saved as JPG. Pick a colour for the space instead.
